DUSTIN WRAY

Dustin Wray is an talented rock vocalist and songwriter from NE Ohio. He has fronted several bands, written over 200 songs, and has recently released his third studio CD of original material, entitled "It Doesn't Matter What It's Called".  His music has been requested by multiple Music Libraries in the Los Angeles area, and is currently being pitched for television and motion picture soundtracks. 2 singles from the new CD, "Never Give Up, Never Die" and "Sometimes" are currently being pushed to college and rock stations throughout the United states, and across the globe.

Dustin's music is mostly centered around big rock anthems, but he has also tackled some diverse styles on his new CD, such as pop rock, blues, and even love ballads. The new CD also includes a fantastic cover of the legendary Kansas song "Dust In the Wind."

Dustin has teamed up with Cleveland music producer Scott Kovarik (who has several TV / Movie placements himself). Together they have created a heavy rock sound that is both reminiscent of great rock bands of the past, yet still commercially viable in today's changing musical landscape.

Dustin's influences include such classic bands as Kansas, Styx, and Journey, but his new CD incorporates these influences into newer sounds from bands such as Collective Soul, Jet, Buckcherry, and Velvet Revolver.  Vocally, Dustin has been compared to many top rock performers, such as Jon Bon Jovi, Bono, and Meatloaf.

Dustin's musical aspirations were sidelined for a couple of years due to his deployment for Operation Iraqi Freedom. Dustin is a Captain in the Army Reserves, and was sent overseas for duty in both Kuwait and Iraq. Dustin served as the Company Commander of a 170-soldier Transportation Unit, and upon his return took a year-long full-time tour in order to teach Convoy Survivability to Army units preparing to deploy to the same region in which he served. Dustin will be retiring early from the Army in May 2008, due to medical reasons. He is hoping this will afford him more time to work on his music and his two new band(s).

Dustin is now assembling two new bands to play out:  one which will concentrate on his original solo music, and another one which will be recording a band project of all original music.  This band will be doing heavier music in the vein of Seether, Papa Roach, Breaking Benjamin and 3 Days Grace. We are still looking for musicians to round out this band. Contact Dustin at 330-507-2643 or Derrick at 330-505-1906 if you are interested! Right now we need a Lead Guitarist and a Bass Player!
